Is the presence of oak moss enough to make “La Belle Hélène” a chypre? The answer is yes, but…what we have here is a variety of… chypre, but a light one , with the sort of transparency which is Duchaufour’s signature of sorts. “Transparency” does not in any way mean “thin”, which is confirmed by the dense and lasting trail.
